EE 229  Detection and Estimation Theory -  Fall 2011

This course is now replaced by EE 140 - Stochastic Processes, which is offered for the first time in Spring 2016. More on this to follow later. 

EE 127  Information Theory - Spring 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015

In this course we cover the basics of information theory. Emphasis is put on formulation, derivation and complete understanding of the source coding theorem, the channel coding theorem and the rate distortion theorems. Applications to detection and estimation theory, practical data compression and practical coding (linear algebraic coding) are also covered. 

The course is cross listed with the Dept. of Computer Science at Tufts University and is also open to students from Math and Physics.

EE 23    Linear Systems - Fall 2012, 2013, 2014

This a junior level course that focuses on understanding the basic theory and applications of linear systems. It covers characterization of LTI systems via covolution kernels, properties of signals through Fourier, Laplace and Z-transforms, properties of LTI systems via Laplace and Z-transforms and Sampling Theory for bandlimited signals. Applications to analysis of analog circuits, feedback control systems and communication systems are also considered through MATLAB exercises.
